Our Youth Council is comprised of committed adults who love God and teenagers. They desire for our youth ministry to be a magnet for teenagers and a place where teens can meet Jesus and grow in their faith. They work together in seeking God's will for the Youth Ministry at ZUMC through prayer, discussion, and planning. The Youth Council meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm. If you have a comment, concern, or suggestion or would like to serve on the Youth Council, please e-mail the chairperson, Don Barrett.
Jeanne Chapman is the fearless leader of the ZUMC Youth Ministry. She was called to ZUMC in March of 2006 after serving churches in West Virginia and Missouri. She has over 12 years of youth ministry experience. She was born and raised in St. Louis (go Cardinals!) and still craves Imo's pizza and Ted Drewes!
Jeanne's favorite movie is "It's a Wonderful Life". She doesn't have much time for TV, but will occasionally catch "Deal or No Deal" (she'd be a great contestant!) and "American Idol" (not such a great contestant!). Some people say she has a competitive streak (especially at softball), but she says she has mellowed a lot since her teenage years. Other hobbies include: watching her kids play sports, playing sports herself, drama, interpretive sign language, easy crossword puzzles, hanging out with teenagers, and reading. She loves to laugh and to make others laugh. Jeanne's passion is using the gifts God has given her to reach this generation for Christ. She is a gifted and passionate speaker who is able to share the timeless truths of Scripture in a compelling way.
Jeanne is married to Ed (her support and co-laborer with youth) and they have four amazing children (Kristen, Connor, Carter and Carson). They also have two dogs, Zoe and Alex. The Chapmans are so grateful that God has called them to Zionsville.
